My reading

This is me reading a narrative called Swallowed by the Sea. It has lots of interesting words in it and the author uses things like alliteration to make it entertaining. Some examples of alliteration are wet weather and mouth moving and neptune's necklace. 

My amazing trip to the marae

On June the 9th, we went to the marae. When we got there we had to take off our shoes and the people who go to kapa haka had to go to the wharenui. We performed six song like: he mokopuna, he toanga, ka panapana, ite timatannga, heturoa, tumai ra. When we were gonna do the mokopuna we had to go out and take off our socks and were our bear feet. Jilliane had to start off he mokopuna then after that we sang it all together. Matua David went all the way down the end of the marae were the builders were working. We sang E te rangatahi on the grass we had to take our socks off. Then we did the rest of the songs outside on the grass. When we finished we went inside but before we went Inside we had to wipe our feet one the mat for example not inside the wharenui. Then we went into the wharenui. We sat down in the wharenui.
